M.E.S.S. is a group of adult men who gather every Thursday to reflect and share thoughts about the Scripture readings for the upcoming Sunday Mass at your choice of either 7:30-8:30 AM in the Church Social Space or 6:30-8:00 PM in the parish office small meeting room. Each member of the group sets aside some quiet time during the early part of the week to read and reflect alone on the upcoming Sunday Scripture readings in order to be prepared to share his thoughts with the group on Thursdays. All adult males who would like to experience a deeper understanding of Holy Scripture, grow in their faith, and enhance the celebration of the Sunday Mass are welcome to participate. Please call the Parish Office to be connected to the group leader.
That Man is You (TMIY) meets on Saturday mornings from 6:30-8:00 a.m. at the rectory on St. Anne's Drive. 13-week sessions are held in the fall and in the spring. Meetings include breakfast, fellowship with other men of the parish, a half-hour video presentation and small group discussion.
TMIY is an interactive men’s program combining the best research from science with the teachings of the Catholic faith and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of man fully alive. By honestly addressing the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, That Man Is You (TMIY) seeks to form men who will be capable of transforming homes and society.

The Resurrection Prayer Chain invites anyone in the parish to pray for requests which come from our parishioners. The Prayer Chain is immediate: persons are contacted by phone or email as soon as a petition is requested. Participation in this ministry places one in a spiritual relationship with the members of the parish, which benefits everyone. To place a prayer on the prayer chain, contact Karen Meyer:
resprayerchain@gmail.com (563) 588-3547.
Being a Prayer Warrior is an opportunity for homebound, elderly, or ill to pray for the needs of the parish whenever they are able. There are no dues and no meetings to attend, but there is the profound responsibility of offering prayer and suffering in union with Jesus for the many needs of the parish and its ministers.
In the spring of 2008, parishioner Joe Clancy initiated the Resurrection Rosary Group. The Rosary Makers are affiliated with a national group, Our Lady’s Rosary Makers (OLRM), which sends a periodical to their members listing, among other things, requests for rosaries. Resurrection rosaries are among those that go on ships out of south Florida and are hand-carried by missionaries to the people they serve in foreign lands. Among those countries served are South America, Haiti, India, Iraq, Africa, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines, Rosaries are also distributed to Military Chaplains.
Members join in short prayer and put together packets of beads, crosses, and cord to make 10 rosaries at home. The completed rosaries are then returned to the group coordinator. New volunteers are taught how to make rosaries by current group members or the group coordinator. Supplies are purchased with donations within the group or from others who support this effort. All are most welcome to join in this ministry!
If you want to be a part of a small faith sharing group and/or would be willing to host in your home, please email or call Wendy at the parish office. Our parish has a subscription to an online platform called FORMED which has thousands of videos to watch and discuss, all free for our parishioners to watch.
